About
I am a white radical lesbian feminist in my mid-twenties. I’m currently enrolled in school as an undergrad in the U.S. of A.
I suffer from OCD, anxiety, and PTSD. Music, walks, and nutritious food help calm me down.
I dream of revolution, of real equality for womyn, for animals, for the planet. I fear this will never happen, though.
For fun, I love reading mysteries. They aren’t necessarily feminist, but they keep me hooked, and take my mind off the boogeyman this world is.

Oh, I started this site because I wanted to attract younger women–teenagers and womyn in their twenties–who are only exposed to third-wave and queer theories. Some of us want more liberation than what they have to offer, and I want women to know radical feminism is out there. This is not to say liberal feminists aren’t doing important work fighting for abortion rights, equal pay, the end of sexual harassment, and so forth. Indeed, I applaud ya’ll for doing so. Radical feminism is about about sharpening that analysis, if you will.
Radical feminists and pro-feminists of all ages and stages are more than welcome to read and comment here! Hence the title of this site, “A Place for Every Woman.” I should also note that my writings tend to be U.S.-centric; I have never traveled out of Amerika (unless you count West Texas, hardee har har), so I write what I know. I would hope at least some of what I write applies to women around the globe as well.
West Texas may as well be the moon!
Glad I stumbled by and had my bookmarker handy!
Wow, I didn’t realise you were so young. You’re amazing! I feel the exact same way….. I am not up to the same standard as the radfem bloggers out there, but their writing nourishes me so much more than anything I read by third wave feminists (or in fact, anyone, anywhere).
I love your blog, Womon. In case you (and other womyn who are friendly to rad fem politics) would be looking to register in a private radfem forum, I just wanted to say that registrations have just been reopened at http://radfemspeak.net/forum/ Looking forward to see you (and others) there.
hey maggie,
It’s great to see you here! I always enjoy your comments on other sites, such as radicalhub.
Thanks for letting me–and others–know that registrations have been reopened. I believe I registered there a long time ago but never actually posted. I could really use a supportive forum.
xo,
WOAJ
Thank you, WOAJ. Please don’t forget to introduce yourself after you register there (it’s a forum requirements to avoid trolling). Looking forward to seeing you at RadFemSpeak.
Maggie (who’s not logged into WP just now)
You rock!
Just a quick observation.
For those feminists who use Y or O to spell womEn… spelling it with an O/Y (womon or womyn) is not helping your arguments. I know you feel that by removing men from everything you somehow feel empowered against “your oppressors”. But all you are really doing is pointing out to readers that you fit in the stereotypical “radical lesbian man hating” type of feminist which in regards to trying to come across with some seriousness, you instantly lose any and all strength in your argument to anyone other than other men hating feminist.
I’m not wanting to ignite a gender fire here, I just want to point out that what you are attempting to do with your anti-male spellings are actually working against you.
Those who use the (o-y) anti-male spellings are doing to males what they constantly accuse males of doing to women. Trying to suppress men as a means to feminine equality is counterproductive.
Imagine a race taking the color white from everything as a means of gaining power, it seems ridiculous to have a renamed book of snow whyte. Betti & Vanna White would have to change her names. It’s no more ludicrous than changing HIStory to Theirsory because having the word HIS makes the word masculine.
Just sharing another perspective.
Please don’t hate, but feel free to begin open conversation.
I’d love to have an non-hate filled conversation.
I spent an entire post replying to your comment. You should be proud.
